- Born and raised in Miami, Lissette's passion isn't only enjoying the lovely south Florida weather and beaches, but also traveling which leads to new life experiences. She has a degree in Cardiovascular Technology and later she graduated from Miami Dade College with a degree in Television and Films. Lissette won the coveted title of Miss Florida USA 2011 and went on to represent her home state at the nationally televised pageant Miss USA, where she placed in the top 15. Since the tender age of 5 she also enjoyed fixing cars with her dad -- classic cars to be specific. Her passion was almost immediate, as she was able to see the beauty that a good ole' classic bestows. Working on her first car a 1972 Chevy Bel-Air with her dad, it only got bigger and better. My Official photo shot with an amazing photographer, Bob Lasky of Photography by Lasky.
During my time there I got to enjoy my company with Bob along with Mary Lou Gravit and Esteban on the camera. !
Bob´s history in the film industry is a resume filled with many artists that were very well known around the world. My favorite artist he has shot was Elvis Presley! I am a huge fan, and upon seeing Elvis' picture on the wall shot by Bob about 2 months before Elvis' death was the highlight of my shoot. He has many pictures on the walls at the studio, and seeing the past Miss Florida USAs made it feel surreal. Now it has sunk in, but it still sometimes feels like an indescribable feeling.

2010 Coconut Grove Bed Race 9.05.mov
A wonderful day in Coconut Grove, Miami, FL. Not only was the weather at high summer levels, but me legs were cramping up from the running. Kinda wish I would've taken a few bananas to prevent that. None the less it was a great time with the wonderful friends from ImpactMiami and Pollo Tropical marketing. We arrived mid morning to sign up, then it was breakfast at GreenStreet Cafe with the team and Grant JR. Soon after the parade of beds began which we got to show off our RACEBED to the crowd of people (over 4 thousand in the audience). After a few minutes the races began. Then day slowly became more interesting as we advance to the final round. The Teen girls arrived to watch the show as well. Looking forward to next year to perfect the bed, for a smoother race =)
