Born and raised in Miami, Lissette's passion isn't only enjoying the lovely south Florida weather and beaches, but also traveling which leads to new life experiences. She has a degree in Cardiovascular Technology and later she graduated from Miami Dade College with a degree in Television and Films. Lissette won the coveted title of Miss Florida USA 2011 and went on to represent her home state at the nationally televised pageant Miss USA, where she placed in the top 15.   Since the tender age of 5 she also enjoyed fixing cars with her dad -- classic cars to be specific. Her passion was almost immediate, as she was able to see the beauty that a good ole' classic bestows. Working on her first car a 1972 Chevy Bel-Air with her dad, it only got bigger and better. Now she's on a new journey for a new title, MOMMY! As Lissette documents her journey through her pregnancy, feel free to leave her tips!

From East Coast to...

Let's begin...
Yes it's been a while since my last post and I've been back living in Miami since June 2013...No, I wasn't home sick, just had a great job offer here in Miami and of course this is home. I wasn't going to turn it down.

Since June so many things have happened and changed in my life, the biggest being the nuptials coming up in December 2014. Yes, I'm getting married to my best friend. Sounds cliche, but he really is. Guess if you've never experienced that you should seek to fall in love with your best friend. Respecting each other, no holding back, no secrets...find it. So that's happening 12/13/14 in Cancun! Can't wait for the party to begin!

Well since moving back to Miami now it looks like I'll be moving away again, only this time forever. Jason is a father first and a news anchor second, we mutually decided it's best to move closer to his children in California. They're entering those teenage years and having daddy close to them seems crucial. In the meantime we also decided, of course, to transfer news markets, so he'll be working as a news anchor in L.A. and be close to his babies.
Me on the other hand I will be pursuing something I've been dreaming for years, Acting. I've never had the guts to move to L.A. on my own and now it's perfect. Start a new life with in California and work on my career as Miami has so little options for actors. Although I will be leaving my family behind (and I have a BIG Family), it's all for a good reason and they all love Jason. They know he'll take care of me and he gave my dad his word, so daddy will give him a good a** whooping if he doesn't. Rest assured I won't be a stay at home "housewife" I have a lot of goals and enthusiasm to drive me towards my destiny. I've learned a lot about myself in recent years and standing still is NOT my thing. Always evolving!

I will be visiting Miami all the time, it's not goodbye forever, it's an "I'll see you later" although Home will be California. I'm a Floridian through and through, but I'm off to bigger and better things. :)

I'll keep you posted.
