- Born and raised in Miami, Lissette's passion isn't only enjoying the lovely south Florida weather and beaches, but also traveling which leads to new life experiences. She has a degree in Cardiovascular Technology and later she graduated from Miami Dade College with a degree in Television and Films. Lissette won the coveted title of Miss Florida USA 2011 and went on to represent her home state at the nationally televised pageant Miss USA, where she placed in the top 15. Since the tender age of 5 she also enjoyed fixing cars with her dad -- classic cars to be specific. Her passion was almost immediate, as she was able to see the beauty that a good ole' classic bestows. Working on her first car a 1972 Chevy Bel-Air with her dad, it only got bigger and better. Now she's on a new journey for a new title, MOMMY! As Lissette documents her journey through her pregnancy, feel free to leave her tips!

During my trip to Tampa, El Centro a local Hispanic newspaper, brought me into their central office for an interview. As we met Gonzalo Paez in the lobby, we went up stairs to the offices.
They were really looking forward to meeting with me, after indulging in their Pollo Tropical lunches we sat down for a great interview. Not only did we talk about my goals and aspirations as a Hispanic Miss Florida USA, but on my family history. Speaking about my family always gets the water works going for me, but it felt great that they were interested in knowing my true history.
I look forward to speaking them before leaving to Vegas for Miss USA 2011.

I enjoy making the video blogs so I would like to definitely like to continue
with that theme for my year as Miss Florida USA!
I have plenty of picture as well from my events, appearances (I have made over 30 already!), and interviews. So maybe I can link a few pictures here and there. Or link a Flickr account to my blog.
It's so exciting to hear what you have to say...so don't hold back.
